Nymphenburg Palace and Park in Munich. Eastern facade during morning. Nymphenburg Palace, with its Park, gardens and channels is one of the main tourist attractions in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It was commisioned by prince elector (Kurfuerst ) Ferdinand Maria in 1664, altered and expanded during the following centuries. For a long time it was the summer residence for the bavarian kings of the house of Wittelsbach Nymphenburg park and its gardens ist considered to be one of the most importent examples of garden architecture in Germany and Europe.
